With a new year right around the corner, the town of San Juan del Sur is preparing for it usually celebration. December 31st is one of the most festive holidays in the Nicaraguan calendar. Typically local Nicaraguans flock to the beaches after the Christmas celebration, arriving in masses after the 26th of December to enjoy fun under the sun. San Juan del Sur is by far Nicaragua's largest beach destination offering more than 20 different hotels and boutique resorts for visitors stay in.
